Taking care of a sore lower back

- Do not slump or slouch when sitting.
- Avoid prolonged sitting (>30 minutes continuously).
- Use a lumber support in the curve of your lower back when sitting.
- Avoid sustained or repetitive bending.
- When lifting - keep your back straight, bend your knees and keep the load close to your body.
- Use a two man lift or a trolley for heavy/bulky items.
- Regularly rotate your mattress and replace it as required.
- Perform regular physiotherapy exercises for your back.
- Consult a physiotherapist if you do experience back pain.
