Essendon Physio Group was founded on a belief system that everyone that should have access to quality health care that considered the whole person, in an environment that was supportive and inclusive. We deliver our care by handpicked, hand trained clinicians that are the best in their respective fields and support our teams passion for delivering world class care through unforgettable client experiences.
We have high expectations of our team and ensure that these expectations are matched with consistent and personalised support. We do this through regular, structure personal and professional development and empowered decision making. We value our team members and are focused on being a place of inspiration to our team whereby everyone feels welcomed, valued and included. Our commitment to our team is to coach and support them to become the best version of themselves.
Our partnership with key stakeholder organisations such as Exercise for Rehabilitation and Health, Diabetes Victoria and a variety of orthopaedic surgeons and specialist physicians, support our vision for a collaborative team approach to care for our clients and genuinely make Essendon Physio Group a happy and fulfilling place to work.
Our commitment to ongoing coaching and training
At Essendon Physio Group our training supports each team member by harnessing their passion and training towards clinical excellence.
With an abundance mindset and commitment to contribution, we do things a little bit differently with our team.
Through our consistent and personalised approach to training, we support younger health professionals and new graduates as well as more established clinicians. We utilise adult learning principles, encourage critical thinking, have regular case conferences and group learning activities as well as individual tutorial and coaching sessions. For new graduates, we offer an internship program as a pathway to employment and Graduate Plus+ Program inclusive of a 2 year structured training and development program.
Our passion for providing unique opportunities in line with our vision, mission and values ensure our team are feeling happy and fulfilled. We offer a variety of ways to contribute to our community and our practice through:
- Media - You'll often see us on the news, the newspaper and hear us on the radio. Full training is provided for such opportunities and you'll be celebrated for moving outside of your comfort zone and having a go #wegoaboveandbeyond
- Interdisciplinary presentations & Research - We encourage and support our team to present at GP and specialist education education evenings and on webinars and support internal research projects where we can measure and validate the effectiveness of our approach to care and share with our colleagues #weareworldclass
- Advocacy and Charity - Our team regularly contribute to publications and research that support our partner foundations such as the Girls Uniform Agenda, Parents Voice and Diabetes Victoria. We offer peer reviews for training for preventative health program such as the Life! Program. Having a seat on the board of several advisory committees including the Primary Care Diabetes Society of Australia also means that there are endless opportunities to write, speak and support non for profits to improve the health and wellbeing of our community #honestlywecare
